Dr. Mike grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick. After completing his Bachelor of Science at Bishop’s University, he went on obtain his Master of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University. He also completed the post-doctorate program at the University of Western Ontario. In 1996, he moved back to Halifax to start a family and open his dental clinic.

Dr. Mike is devoted to comprehensive general dentistry. His true passion is cosmetic and restorative dentistry, using the latest technology: computer designed restorations, digital radiography, single appointment ceramic restorations and veneers. His chairside manner is well-known: putting all his patients at ease with his gentle demeaner and outgoing sense of humour. Dr. Mike is an active member of many local and national dental associations. He enjoys attending continuing education courses to keep up to date on the newest dental techniques and treatments in patient care.

Dr. Mike has truly made Halifax his home and is proud to work in the North End. In his spare time, he likes golfing, fly fishing and travelling. His wife, Sue, and children, Ryan, Renee, and Tyler mean the world to him. He’s our Dr. Mike!

Sue is originally from Carbonear, Newfoundland. She studied Public Relations at Mount Saint Vincent University and received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Development and Geography from St. Mary’s University. She has over 20 years of experience in management, public relations and hospitality. Sue has been our dedicated and outgoing manager since 2005. Her hobbies include gardening, fly fishing, walking, reading, yoga and travel. Recently, she completed the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route by walking from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, and most of all with her husband (Dr. Mike), children (Ryan, Renee and Tyler) and Miniature Schnauzers (Buddy and Henry).

Madison or “Maddy” as she is affectionately called, graduated from NSCC’s Dental Assisting program in 2022. She performed her work term with Dr. Mike and the team knew they just had to keep her! Maddy goes above and beyond to tend to each and every patient. She is proud to be Dr. Mike’s “right hand.” Maddy also manages at a local restaurant aside from her day job and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family and friends.

Emilie was raised in Fredericton, NB and travelled to Nova Scotia to pursue and receive her Bachelor of Dental Hygiene in 2018 at Dalhousie University. Emilie practiced hygiene in New Brunswick for four years but always dreamed of coming back to Nova Scotia to settle down, as she did in 2022. She takes pride in getting to know her patients and providing a positive experience for all. During her spare time Emilie enjoys spending time with her family and her partner, Emmanuel.
